- 2 tbsps finely minced garlic
- 1 tsp finely minced ginger
- 1/4 cup spring onions, finely chopped
- 1 finely chopped green chilli
- 2 1/2 cups vegetables (tomatoes, baby corn, capsicum, beans, carrot, cabbage), chopped into bite sized pieces
- 1 tsp red chilli paste
- 1 tsp light soya sauce (optional)
- 1/2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsps brown sugar
- 2 tbsps tomato ketchup
- 1 1/2 tbsp cornflour
- 1 1/2 cups water
- salt to taste
- 1 1/2 tbsps sesame oil or peanut oil
- Heat a tbsp of sesame oil in a large wok and once the oil is piping hot, add the minced garlic and ginger stir fry for half a minute.
- 2 Add the chopped spring onion whites and green chillis stir for a few seconds.
- Add the chopped vegetables (except tomatoes) and stir fry on high for 4-5 mts, constantly tossing them.
- 3 Reduce to medium heat and add the red chilli paste, brown sugar, soya sauce, tomato ketchup and vinegar. Combine well and cook for 2 mts.
- 4 Add the tomato quarters and stir fry till the spices coat the vegetables well for about a minute or two.
- Keep stirring constantly lest it burns.
- 5 Add water and salt and cook on high till the water reduces to half its quantity.
- Combine a little water to the cornflour such that there are no lumps and slowly add to vegetables, stirring constantly.
- 6 Keep stirring till the sauce thickens and turn off heat.
- Garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot with noodles or fried rice.

- 4 Tomatoes
- Salt to taste
- Pepper
- Mint leaves
- Put the tomatoes in a pan.
- Pour sufficient water and boil.
- Add mint and salt to the boiling mixture. Boil for about 10 minutes.
- Cool and blend the tomatoes with the help of a mixer.
- Sieve the blended mixture to remove the seeds and skin.
- Tomato soup is ready to serve.

- 8 oz dried rice noodles ( use tofu noodles)
- 1 cup shallots chopped ( use red-onions)
- 1 stalk lemon-grass, white part only-crushed ( use a zest of a lime)
- 2 tsp. Sambaal Oelek
- 2 tsp. ground coriander
- 2 tsp. curry powder (did not use)
- 1 tsp. paprika (used 2 tsp.)
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne ( used red-chilly powder instead)
- 1 tbls. canola oil (used coconut oil)
- 31/2 cups vegetable stock (used a water+ veggie bullion)
- 1 tbls sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper
- 1 14oz can of coconut milk (use lite coconut milk)
- 8 oz extra firm tofu - cubed
- 1 cup bean sprouts, blanched
- 3 scallions (omitted by me)
- 1 cucumber, peeled and diced
- 1 bunch cilantro (none at home! )
- 1 cup pineapple (no way!!)
- Lime wedges to serve
- 2 cups of assorted frozen veggies.
- Cook noodles as per directions.
- Make a paste of shallots,lemongrass,sambal oelek and ginger.
- Add to it coriander,curry powder,turmeric,paprika and cayenne pepper and make a smooth paste.
- In a large pot...medium heat..add the oil..then add the shallot mixture from above and cook it for about 3 minutes, stirring well...adding a little stock to it..to make sure it does not burn.
- Then add the frozen veggies (if using)....stir it well...and add the rest of the stock.
- Reduce the heat...add the sugar,salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 20 minutes...then add the coconut milk and heat it through without letting it boil.
- Add the noodles and the tofu ( toaste the tofu in a pan lightly- can omit this step) and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- To serve...add the cucumber, scallions (if using) in a bowl. Pour the laksa over it and garnish with cilantro..pineapple (if using). Plop a lime wedge or half on the side too!!

- 1/2 kg boneless chicken (cut in thin julienne slices)
- 1 tspn white pepper
- 1 tbspn soya sauce
- 1 tbspn white vinegar
- 1/2 tspn salt
- 1 tspn chinese salt
- 1 tbspn cornflour
- 8 cups chicken stock
- 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
- 1 cup tomato paste
- 2 tbspn soya sauce
- 2 tbspn chili sauce
- 2 tbspn white vinegar
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tbspn chinese salt
- 1 tbspn white pepper
- 1 tbspn sugar
- water as required
- 6 tbspn cornflour
- 1 egg
- 1 cup capsicum julienne
- 1 cup carrot julienne
- 1/2 cup peas
- 1 cup spring onion (chopped only green part)
- Marinate chicken in the spices mentioned for chicken marination and leave for 30 mins.
Mix all the spices and sauces of soup in a bowl except cornflour, water and chicken stock. - Take a deep sauce pan, put chicken stock and let it boil.
- After boiling, add the mix soup spices (mentioned in step 2) in the stock and mix well.
- Now add all the vegetables and marinated chicken in the soup and add water according to your need (at least 2 cups of water).
- Cover the sauce pan and leave it for 15-20 mins on medium heat till vegetables and chicken become completely tender.
- After that, in a cup dissolve corn starch in water, add it to the soup and stir continuously while adding otherwise lumps will form. Qauntity of corn starch depends upon your need that how much you want the density of soup.
- In the end, add beaten egg in the soup and continuously stir the soup while adding so that threads of egg form.
Delicious hot and sour soup is ready to serve with bread and bun.

- 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
Step 1: In a sauce pan heat chicken broth, salt, and white pepper. Bring to a boil.
Step 2: Pour beaten egg in a thin stream into the broth (or drizzle with a fork). Stir with a fork until the egg forms shreds. Add green onions and serve.

Ingredients:- 3 lb Chicken pieces
- 1/4 ts Rosemary
- 6 c Hot water, divided
- 1/4 ts Pepper
- 2 x Lg stalks Celery, thin slice
- 1 ts Salt, (opt.)
- 1 c Med Carrots, thin sliced
- 1/2 c Thin Egg Noodles
- 1/2 ts Dried Basil
- In a 5-qt Casserole combine chicken, 4 cups Hot water, celery, carrots, basil, rosemary, pepper and salt. Microwave at High 30-40 minutes, or until Chicken falls easily from the bone, stirring twice during cooking. Remove Chicken from the bones.
- Discard bones and skin. Dice Meat and return to caserole. Add 2 cups Hot water and noodles.
- Cover.
- Microwave at High 8-10 minutes, or until water boils.
- Then, Microwave at High 7-10 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
Discripton:The chicken noodle soup was easy to make and since I had the chicken stock ready ahead of time, it did not take long at all. The soup was nice and warming and fulfilling and tasty! I really liked how the miso worked in the soup and it added a ton of flavour. I packed a lot of things into the soup so it was nice and hearty and filling. It is amazing how such a simple dish can be so fulfilling on a cold winters day.

- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 carrot (chopped)
- 1 stalk celery (chopped)
- 1 sprig thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 4 cups of homemade chicken stock
- 1 cup egg noodles
- 1/2 cup cooked chicken (shredded)
- 2 tablespoons miso (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley leaves
- Heat the oil in a sauce pan.
- Add the onions, celery, carrots, thyme and bay leaf and saute on medium heat until tender, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the chicken stock and bring to a boil.
- Add the noodles and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken and warm.
- Remove from heat and mix some of the broth into the miso paste in a bowl and pour it back into the soup.

- Tamarind paste - 1 spoon ( dissolve and add as per taste)
- Mustard seeds - 1 spoon
- asefetoda powder - 1 pinch
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 spoon
- Salt - as per taste
- Oil - 2 spoons
- For Soup Powder:
- Black peppercorns - 1 spoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 spoon
- garlic flake - 1
- Garnish:
- Curry leaves & Cilantro or coriander leaves.
How to make Tomato pepper soup
- ming rice or relish as
- Powder the pepper, garlic and cumin seeds and keep aside.
- Pour oil in kadai, add the asefetoda powder and then the mustard and let it splatter.
- Now add the tomatos, add the turmeric powder, salt and saute for 2min and slightly mash it.
- Add little water and then add the tamarind and the made soup powder.
- Now add 2 cups of water and bring to one boil and switch off the flame.
- Garnish with Curry leaves and cilantro.
- Enjoy with stea
