Carrot Raita

Discription:This is tasty carrot raita  recipes.Try it and Enjoy!!
Ingredients:
  • 1 Carrot grated
  • 1 Green chilli finely chopped
  • 1 Cup Curd
  • Few pinches Chat Masala powder
  • Salt to taste
How to make:
  • Mix all the above ingredients in a bowl.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.

Onion and Tomato Raita

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Yogurt (plain)
  • 1 small Onion
  • 1/ 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 small Tomato
  • 1/ 2 teaspoon Chat Masala (optional)
  • 1/ 2 teaspoon Black pepper (ground)
  • 1/ 4 cup Milk
How to make:
  • Beat yogurt and milk until smooth.
  • Chop onion and tomatoes and add to yogurt.
  • Add salt and pepper and sprinkle the Chat Masala over, and serve.




Strawberry Raita

Discription:Raita with strawberries is lightly tart from the strawberries and spiced with a dash of spices brings out a flavorful raita.
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup - Strawberries, chopped to small pieces
  • 1 cup - Chilled yogurt
  • 1 to 2 tsp - Sugar
  • Dash of - Black rock salt
  • Dash of - Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Roasted jeera powder
  • Salt to taste
How to make:
  • Beat yogurt with sugar and little salt to taste. If the yogurt is too sour, add more sugar otherwise less.
  • Mix strawberry with yogurt. Sprinkle, black rock salt, red chili powder, roasted jeera powder. Mix in and serve.



Cucumber Raita Recipe

Discription:This raita is the best for summer, as it has a very cooling effect on the body. It is great served with pulao or puri.
Ingredients:
  • 1 medium cucumber, grated
  • 4 cups fresh curds
  • Chili, jeera powder
  • Salt
How to make:
  • Beat the curds lightly until smooth
  • Add the grated cucumber, spices and salt.
  • Mix well and refrigerate until serving
  • Serve cold




Boondi raita

Discription:Boondi raita is quick to make with ready made boondi. This raita will be a nice side dish along with pulao's.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups - Yogurt
  • 2 handful - Boondi
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - Dry mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp - Coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - Roasted jeera powder
  • A pinch of - Garam masala powder
  • A pinch of - Black pepper powder
  • A pinch of - Red chili powder
  • A pinch of - Black rock salt powder
  • Salt to taste
How to make:
  • Beat yogurt and sugar well. 
  • Then add boondi, mint and coriander leaves, mix well with yogurt. 
  • Sprinkle jeera powder, garam masala, black pepper, red chili, black salt and mix in.
  • Taste to check if you need additional salt.
  • Add little salt as to taste if needed. 
Note :
  • You can soak boondi in warm water for 2 minutes and squeeze out the water and then use to make raita. This way you can squeeze excess oil out.
  • Serve raita chilled after 2 hours, if you like boondi very soft.




Batate mosaru gojju[Potato raitha]

Discription:It is easy to make.try it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ingredients:-
  • Cooked potatoes - 2 large
  • Curds - 2 cups
  • Greenchilles - 2
  • Ginger - small piece
  • Coriander leaves- 1 tsp
  • Onion - 1/2 cup
  • Mustard -1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • Hing - 1 pinch
  • Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 5-6
  • Ghee - 1 tsp
  • Dry red chillies - 1
  • Salt
How to make:
  • Break the cooked potatoes into tiny chunks and keep aside.
  • Chop up the onions ,ginger and chilles very finely and keep aside.
  • Take the above in a vessel, add curds to it.Season with salt as per your taste.
  • Take ghee in a small pan add mustard, jeera, urad dal and red chilly and just when the mustard splutters add curry leaves hing and stir it then add the chilly powder to it when its still hot and pour this into the potato mixture.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves .
  • Refrigerate for atleast 1/2 hr ,or you can it immediately.
  • Good when served with rice and even with parata's.

    Beetroot Raita

    Discription:Here is a simple side dish which requires very less afforts.Its a complete dish with the combination of all tastes in it.It looks too good with the pretty pink colour of the beetroot and the creaminess of the fresh yogurt which is blended into it.

    Ingredients:
    • Beetroot - 1 grated
    • Onion - 1/2 cup finely chopped
    • Green chillies - 2 finely chopped
    • Yogurt/plain curds - 1.5 cups
    • Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
    • Jeera - 1/2 tsp
    • salt - as per taste
    • Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
    • Mustard - 1 tsp
    • Oil -1/2 tsp
    • Dry chillies - 2
    • Curry leaves - 4-5
      How to make:
      • Take grated beetroot & greenchillies in a bowl add a bit of salt ,chillypowder and cook in microwave for 3 mins.
      • Now mix the onions to the bowl
      • Take some oil in a pan and put all the other remaining ingredients and just when the mustards starts pluttering add it to the bowl with beetroot and mix everything uniformly.
      • Now add curds and mix properly.The dish is ready to be served.
