Carrot Halwa

Discription:

For troubled moms,whose kids are finicky about eating veggies,here is one quick alternative.Make carrot halwa and i bet, kids come running to eat.

Do not try carrot halwa with jaggery instead of sugar.Probably that mite not please ur palate.
Trust me ,i did it once with jaggery and the sweet smell of jaggery and carrot mixed together giving a cloying odour and tasted diferent.
Ingredients:
  • Grated Carrot:-2 cups.
  • Sugar:-2 cups. 
  • Cardamom powder:-1/4 tsp.
  • Ghee:-1tbsp 
  • Almonds and cashews:-to garnish.
    How to make:
    • Dissolve sugar in 1 cup of water and heat it.
    • Heat it until syrup starts bubbling and add carrot and stir well.
    • Add cardamom powder and ghee.
    • Cook it until nice aroma comes out and halwa gets a little gluey consistency.
    • Turn off heat and spread the halwa on a ghee-greased plate.
    • Cut into required shapes or mould into balls.
    • Garnish with nuts and serve.
